Whether or not how everyone’s individual personality is either predetermined by their genetics and hormones or is developed by external factors encountered from birth and as we age. That is the debate in the discussion of nature vs. nurture. Nature being that it is predetermined and caused by our genetics and nurture meaning it is caused by external factors we face throughout our lives.
I am an eighteen years old female with an introvert personality. I am the kind of person who can spend several days alone in my room on the internet and have just as much fun as spending a couple days out with my closest friends on an exciting adventure. When I meet new people I tend to be very quiet, respectful, and polite. Once I become more comfortable with the person I tend to speak louder, joke around, and ramble on about things. I am a very patient person and usually am able overcome my anger by reasoning through the situation. I tend to be a bit absent minded because I frequently get distracted and lost in my own thoughts. I am a caring person. I really enjoy doing things that will make others happy for example buying presents, baking, and why I choose to be a comedian at times. I do not have a set dress style at the moment. I enjoy wearing a variety of clothing whether that be all black form head to toe or a yellow and white sunflower dress with a pair of wedges. I also have a combination of loose and form fitting clothes with no real preference. When I buy clothes I look for something that catches my eye is reasonably priced and I liked the way it fit. Although I do not know what my dress style is exactly I do know that I despise any clothes with profanity or inappropriate images as well as clothing and accessories with the brand name all over

The way I was raised by my parents and events that I faced throughout my life shaped my personality into what it is today. Although I was born to two outgoing parents I am a very shy person who prefers staying home and avoids parties. My parent’s protectiveness caused my enjoyment in spending my time alone. My experiences with friends have caused me to be selective when it comes to making friends. My exposure to culture caused me to relate to the western culture more than my Hispanic heritage. This paper has also helped me get to know myself and how other see me a little better.
