In addition, a Gallup poll indicates in 2003 that 54% of American households contain at least one musical instrument player. It is evident that music is a significant part of people’s lives, but could listening to and learning music serve other purposes besides providing pleasure as an extracurricular hobby? Many have debated whether music is a valuable part of education. Currently, less than
the meaning of music to most people? Few people can really feel the charm of music. Music plays a big role in life, just as people need to communicate in the same language. I can hardly imagine the world without music in the future. Music comes from people’s voice, it is everywhere; music let us listen to the rhythm of the world; music comes from people’s heart. Voice is not only “the main source of power in your writing” (Elbow 107), it is also the enlightenment teacher of music. Music is an indispensable

There is a debate that music is not an important part of a student’s education. Some think it is an activity that just fills space. In reality music is a way people show how they feel, or show how confident they really are. Music education is important and requires people to pay attention to see why it is so important, how it
Universal and Proto language Music is an ancient form of communication. Some scientists believe that music was used to communicate before speech. Darwin fist proposed this idea in 1871 in his book, ‘The Descent of Man and Selection in Relation to Sex’. He believed that speech evolved from a more musical way of communicating. He proposed that it began as sounds and imitation of the sounds around the people; an onomatopoeic way of communicating (Finch, 2010). This idea became known as a “musical protolanguage”
In 1873, a German philosopher named Frederich Nietzsche wrote an essay entitled “On Truth and Lying in a Non- moral sense”, which deals with a large epistemological question of truth and language, including the formation of concepts. After all, they’re all just vibrations. So what is it about some vibrations that make them so much more significant to us than others? This is one of the primary questions addressed in this podcast. In discussing how music affects us emotionally, the hosts referred to
