Recommended: Raising a child

It has ben a tremendous journey raising Kevin Jr throughout these years. From the moment he was conceived I knew that he would be a special boy. We were there to hear him say his first words, then eventually taking his first steps. We were also there when he began his educational journey throughout school. We watched as he developed physically, cognitively, socially and emotionally throughout the years. With the addition of another child, April, we thought we were going to be a very happy family however, that wasn’t the case as my partner and I split up. Even through the hard times Kevin Jr was as resilient as can be and still managed to be the special boy that we always knew he would be. Kevin Jr showed 2 kinds of factors throughout his development that my partner and I weren’t able to control. One was the behavioral change that happens among teens throughout this American Culture. Every teen hits that point where they are seeking autonomy in order to become much more independent from their parents. No matter how hard you try you can’t really control that it’s going to happen. At some point your child will challenge your authority from time to time. The other factor was Kevin Jr’s shyness, which he probably got from me. No matter how hard my partner and I tried we couldn’t change that aspect of Kevin Jr’s life. Now that isn’t as hardcore as the other factors could be but I still wanted Kevin Jr to be much more social than what he was. These factors don’t help the parents in real life because they can’t do much to control them which in turn must be much more stressful. I know that for a fact from my own experience my mother had to deal with the same issues when sister was a teen and when I was a teen in the search for

He was happy to find Dana on the Weylin's Farm and he tries to get away with her so they can leave the negative experiences behind them. He has a Southern accent and he doesn't seem to remember how to use technology. He seems to be angry with himself because he struggles to get back into the present. When Dana tries to help him ease his way back into the present, he snaps and glares as at her which is something he had never done to Dana. “He stopped, glaring at me... The expression on his face was like... something I was used to seeing on Tom Weylin” (Kindred,194). In the five years, Kevin was in the antebellum south, he could have adopted the ways of the racist slave owners as he did the southern accent. Kevin is already showing their racist ways when he glares at Dana when she tries to help him, His action was like a white person to a black person in the Antebellum South. The experience negatively impacts Dana and Kevin because Kevin is not the same and kind man he was when Dana married him.
