The goal of HRM is to maximize the productivity of an organization by optimizing the effectiveness of its employees while simultaneously improving the work life of employees and treating employees as valuable resources". This basically summarizes and gives you a preview of what the role of human resources management is and what the article is about. The Second key topic is history. A brief summary of this topic is that human resource was developed early as 1000 B.C, the word Human Resource was changed from personnel, industrial relations, and employee relations. To add to this, labor unions existed since 1970 in the United States and became powerful in 1800 's-1900 's.

The third key topic summarizes the business organization of human resources, which it relies on materials, equipment, financial resources, and technical training. The fourth topic is about the role, position, implementation, evaluation methods. For instance, human resource management department responsibilities not only involves legal and clerical duties, it involves acquisition, development, compensation, and maintenance.
