Housewife is consider as hard work for so many people, since it uses the criteria of a great deal of effort and time.

Housewife can be described as a married woman that usually don’t have a job outside the house, she is in charge of taking care of the kids, cooking, cleaning, buying goods, managing daily activities of the family, etc. Being a housewife can be very challenging, a lot of effort must be put into, takes a huge amount of time, and at the same time it’s unwaged. This specific job takes a lot of responsibility, one example would be taking care of the kids, from the time you wake up, until the time you go to bed, there is the need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner, get the kids ready for school, over the weekends try to come with fun outside or inside activities to do with them, and if something bad happens or the kids get sick, you take the responsibility for it since they were on your watch most of the time. ...amily. And since I’m from Brazil, our culture is different so my grandma used to stay home taking care of the kids and the house just for the fact that every other generation woman in our family did the same thing.

There is a balance though where the need to have a housewife or a househusband doesn’t exist, sometimes we can just share all the duties with our spouse so that we can both work, take care of the kids and take care of the house. We just need to find the perfect time to do everything and have a balance schedule so both participate on the same activities but in different days.

A hard work is not really necessarily physically and/or mentally difficult, and sometimes you don’t paid for it. One example can be a housewife or househusband it can be considered as hard work and you don’t get paid, it takes a lot of time, effort and responsibility.

The Contribution of Women's Work to the War Effort Essay

- The Contribution of Women's Work to the War Effort Women’s work at home contributed to the war effort, in many ways, but they were also under a lot of pressure and stress, due to their husband’s absence, as they had been sent to fight in the war. The women had to play the man’s and women’s role at home and in society. Their contribution to the war effort was partly their responsibility to keep their houses and families safe. Women had to deal with war time shortages by a method that was introduced to them in January 1940, which was known as ‘rationing’....   [tags: Papers]

Persuasive essay on Hard Work

- Hard work is challenging work. But why does it have to be challenging work. Because challenging work, when intelligently chosen, pays off. It’s the work that people of lesser character will avoid. And if you infer that I’m saying people who avoid challenging work have a character flaw, you’re right… and a serious one at that. If you avoid challenging work, you avoid doing what it takes to succeed. To keep your muscles strong or your mind sharp, you need to challenge them. To do only what’s easy will lead to physical and mental flabbiness and very mediocre results, followed by a great deal of time and effort spent justifying why such flabbiness is OK, instead of stepping up and taking on som...   [tags: Essays Papers]

Essay An Interpretation of What Work Is

- An Interpretation of What Work Is Richard Hugo once wrote "Philip Levine knows a few things so well that he cannot forget them when he writes poetry." I believe that one of these things is the subject of work. Levine's theme of work comes from his past experiences of growing up and working during the time of World War II. Philip Levine grew up in Detroit, Michigan during this very difficult time for the United States. His thoughts were occupied with the war and the fear of being sent overseas; therefore his attention was not focused on such things as poetry....   [tags: What Work Is Essays]

The Partial Success of The New Deal Essay

- DBQ – The New Deal Although Roosevelt is highly praised as an amazing leader during the great depression, one can argue it was the circumstances that put him in his position that made him famous. The New Deal was only partially successful, not entirely. There were parts of it that just didn’t work as much as they should have. For the most part, in more ways than one, historians argue that Roosevelt was not aggressive enough to help the economy. But what it did bring to the table was an end to purely laissez-faire policies – the US was beginning to shed traditional values in favor of European economic aspects....   [tags: social, economy, politics]

Playing Hard to Get Essay

- Playing Hard to Get The idea of "playing hard to get", which I interpret as a style of flirting meant to increase the significance of the individual by increasing the effort in the "chase", has been only presented in a few studies. One study which was quite interesting and provided many new insights on this subject was conducted by Walster, Walster, Piliavin and Schmidt (1973), in their study they conducted five experiments, all of which failed. They had the same hypothesis as I proposed, that a woman who is hard to get to go out on a date would be more valued by a man, rather than a woman who is easy to get....   [tags: Papers]

- The Stock Market crashed on October 24, 1929. Stock prices plunged, wiping out $10 billion in value, leading to a devastating worldwide depression.
