The Importance Of Failure To Success

At a certain point in time everyone will experience failure. Learning from your mistakes and getting over an event is the key to conquering failure. Whenever someone encounters an event that doesn’t go their way, that particular person will likely want to give up. My freshman year in highschool was the worst year I had in high school, my grades were sloppy, I wasn’t engaged in school, and I was completely lost in my classes, learning wise. The most disappointing aspect about freshman year were my grades, I received a bunch of D’s and F’s. At this point I could have given up with school, but I knew there was a way I could get my grades up the next year. Freshman year was a nightmare, no matter what way you looked at it, but the next couple of years I changed my attitude, thinking, and learning process to earn better grades. The beginning of my high school journey was an eternity ago, but to me it feels like it was just yesterday. In my first period Biology class, my teacher would go off-topic everyday, usually rambling on about her life which would cause me to fall asleep in her class. It …show more content…

If you’re bad at a certain thing, put in more practice and effort because you are guaranteed some type of success. Giving up is the worst position you can put yourself in. If I gave up after freshman year, I wouldn’t have had the opportunity to do well the next year. There has to be some sort of effort in order to get from a failure to a success. Since I acknowledged my mistakes, it was easier to correct them. In the long run, my failures allowed me to have the mindset of trying harder; It could be playing a sport, learning how to paint, or anything that has to do with learning. This attitude helped me out in many different aspects of my life, not just school. There are many things that put you down in life but you have to find a way to get back
