Piers Morgan, Journalist, Editor, Author, and Television personality, is one of the most known journalists of this century. Also known as “Piers Moron” for his controversial, and outspoken yet influential news reporting. He has made a name for himself in both America and Britain. Starting off as a local reporter, Piers has journeyed through multiple journalistic media outlets, finally landing a spot in the big leagues of television. After taking over the night – time television spot, previously owned by Larry King, Piers currently graces our TV screens with his brutal opinions and raw news coverage.
Piers was born as Piers O’Meara on March 30, 1965 in East Sussex, England. Piers’ father, Vincent O’Meara, died when Piers was very young. Years later his mother re-married officially changing his name to Piers Pughe – Morgan. His mother and step-father owned a local pub which helped pay for him to go to private school; some years later his parents were no longer able to afford private school, so Piers was sent Chailey’s public school in east Sussex.
Pier’s parents were considered conservative and they strongly supported Margaret Thatcher, which could influence his strong avocation of guns.
In the Piers Morgan attended Harlow College where he studied Journalism. He then landed his first job as a reporter In Surrey, London early 1980s. In 1989 he joined The Sun where he became the editor for the entertainment columns. There have been many notable figures in the field of writing. Most of those people are long dead, but there are a few that are pretty fresh on the scene. One such author is Piers Anthony. He has written many novels and long series, which have all done extremely well. Despite the major differences between Anthony's novels, he tends to use repeating themes throughout all of his books.
Sylvia Plath was born on October 27, 1932 in Boston, Massachusetts. Her parents were Otto and Aurelia Plath. Plath's father, Otto, immigrated to America from Germany when he was just sixteen years old. He wanted to study ministry at the Northwestern College, which was a small Lutheran school. According to his wife, Aurelia, Otto changed his ambitions because he didn't feel a true "calling" for the ministry. He received a master of the arts from Washington University, and the doctor of science from Harvard. After that, in 1928, he became a biology professor at Boston University. Sylvia's mother, Aurelia, taught German and English at Brookline High School until January of 1932, when she married Otto. She quit teaching because Otto wanted her to be a homemaker. Otto and Aurelia settled in Winthrop, a town near Boston, where Sylvia spent most of her early childhood. Aurelia's immigrant parents from Australia also lived in this town.

Garrett Augustus Morgan was born on March 4, 1877 in Paris, Kentucky, the seventh of eleven children to Sydney and Elizabeth Morgan. His parents had previously been slaves, freed by the Emancipation Proclamation. At the early age of 14, Morgan decided to travel north to Ohio in the hopes of receiving better education opportunities. During those times, there were better opportunities for blacks in the northern part of the country. Still, Morgan’s formal education never surpassed elementary school. He moved to Cincinnati and then to Cleveland, working as a handyman in order to make ends meet. In Cleveland, he learned the inner workings of the sewing machine and in opened his own sewing machine store in 1907, where he both sold new machines and repaired old ones. In 1908 Morgan married Mary Anne Hassek with whom he later had three sons.

If story is in fact, grave, the audience will not perceive it that way because of the constant commercials and discontinuities throughout the program. Unlike a book that maintains a consistent tone and continuity of content, this is not the expectation of television.

In the modern context, crime has continued to represent a large proportion of news reporting and with the aid of social networking sites and self-publicity via the internet, journalists are now more able to dig even deeper into the lives of people on whom they wish to report.
