Euthanasia is a Greek word that means ' 'good death ' '. Euthanasia is the act of ending the life of a patient in order to stop the suffering of a painful incurable disease or in irreversible coma. It is known as ' 'merciful killing ' '. According to ' 'the Euthanasia debate ' ' (Oct 2001), Euthanasia is defined as ' 'a deliberate intervention undertaken with the express intention of ending a life to relieve intractable suffering ' '. Euthanasia is legal in some countries like the Netherlands, Canada, Colombia, Belgium and Luxembourg. There are five forms of Euthanasia. Active Euthanasia is when specific steps are taken to cause the patient 's death. Is it human indeed to refuse to end someone 's unbearable suffering? No one of us has ever experienced a suffering like that or even can imagine how painful it is; so we should have mercy for those sick people. It is necessary to realize how horrible it is to live, feeling the death coming. Most of them cannot take that pressure and lose the sense of life. Euthanasia shortens the suffering and avoids the fear about how and when death will come. (singer,58) In cases when the patient can 't express their own will, the relatives make the decision and be responsible for it. Often it 's obvious that the patient is dying and has no chances to survive. Still, the relatives have to pay for all the necessary medicines and machines. It 's exhausting for their state of mind and has fatal effect on their budget. Many families spend their last money on the treatment that is vain. The intentions of those who are against Euthanasia might be good but no one can demand of another person to live a life of suffering. Actually Euthanasia isn 't immoral, what is immoral is refusing to set someone free from that endless
