Ⅰ. What I want to do in the future
When I become a professor of Education, there are several things that I want to do. First, I want to study deep into an education. Many people talk about the problems of korean education. For example, in kindergarten, there classes named Harvard, Stanford University. Children in early elementary school prepare for prestigious middle school and highschool. Almost all elementary school students go to art, piano, English and math academies everyday. Furthermore, the polarization of education become more serious. In normal highschool, students who understand and participate in the class are only five students in the classroom. As you see, even highschool student like me knows the problem of education. Then, why these problems came up and how can we solve the problems? I want to learn education and give some help to this problem. Secondly, I want to help students who have difficulty in finding their goals or jobs. From elementary school, we have been asked about what is our future dream. When I was elementary school student, my future dream was doctor which my parents had talked to me. As time goes by, I found my goal, professor of Education. However, It took a lot of time to choose this job as my goal. Many people say students must have their goal and person who has goal is who success in the future. This statement make them feel uneasy and they don't know how they can find their goals. For example, my friend didn't have decision in her job and had a lot of stress on it. In the fact that the enlightened prisoner was unable to complete this part of the goal and his leadership position was denied emphasizes the relatable idea that knowledge can be painful – as well as for the prisoners refusing to gain further knowledge that ignorance is bliss. Education provides unique experiences to everyone. These experiences are not depended on the individual’s personal backgrounds or social statuses. According to Jane Thompson, a scholar in education, the process of education can either be a restriction on creativity or a “practice of freedom.” In Willy Russell’s Educating Rita, the protagonist’s experience through the Open University is a practice of freedom as she is provided with the opportunities to express her thoughts and discover her own limits. There is an internal struggle within Rita as the new environment threatens to erase her past life. Rita is able to maintain her practice of freedom through the help of Frank, whom provides her with a welcoming and encouraging learning environment.
In conclusion, education is an integral part of one’s life. It aids in the growth and development of a human entity. One prime example of this is that we become dependent upon education to gain experience in one’s life. Education is also the source for one to be able to make their dream a reality. A popular literary source, Plato’s Cave, the narrator made the reader aware that education aids one in escaping the cave of ignorance. I am no longer a slave to the cave in that I have relied upon education as the source of freedom. Additionally, it is necessary to accept the view that education is the source for achieving the ultimate goal-our dream becoming whomever we have sought to become just as we dreamt in our adolescence.

I chose education as my career path because I hope to be able to make a small difference in a child’s life. Time and time again I have seen children being educated poorly and/or not having appropriate role models in their life. I feel that an educator must not only be able to convey to the student the classroom material, but also be a counselor, coach, mentor, and a parent. Failing to fulfill these roles gives a child the chance to slip through the educational system without having the opportunity to influence them to some degree.
Ultimately, “…it is delightful to realize that through education human nature will be continually improved, and brought to such a condition as is worthy of the nature of man. This opens out to us the prospect of a happier human race in the future” (Kant, Theory of Education). These children are to be educated as ends in themselves, and their dignity should be respected. Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.
Education is man’s most valuable possession: it is the concept through which one’s love for learning stems, and the equipment used to pave an individual’s path to success. Although easily influenced by the opinions of others, education is one of the few concepts that neither internal nor external stress can strip from our being. As a future educator, I have many goals. My first goal would be to never overpower my students. Being a teacher should not be a job, it should be a passion. A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children), or students (adults) using lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and computers to present academic, social, and motor skills. Teachers can also teach foreign languages, art, kids with special needs, and P.E. Teaching has changed a lot compared to the traditional methods of just lectures and textbooks.
