There are stories that bring you memories because you feel so identified with them because many of them tells many situations that we have passed before. This type of stories makes you follow with a growing interest if what happens at the end will be the same as your old experience. Other stories such as “Bartebly, the Scrivener” let you with some mystery behind of what could have happened with the principal character. Why does the attitude that he carries towards the entire story? Why some lack of interest of this character? At the end of the story, the narrator gives an explanation that is never confirmed by his own as true about the Dead Letters that he works and could be possible one of the causes of why does he has this attitude. Personally would love to know what are the real reasons of why does he has this attitude that in most of the times makes think like he is like in a certain way not willing to live, only living because their body demand to. But, what can be inferred by reading and also with day-by-day things that happen in life is that this story is showing many stereotypes that society has, most specifically working society that has in their jobs. Obviously, that to find an exactly character Bartebly in any work in the world it seems to be really difficult to found because it possibly will be fired in a less time that he/she comes to the job. But does the author is representing many stereotypes that appear in working society with the use of a character to represent them all. It is interesting to see many aspects that appear day by day in any field of the working life. As well as in the point of view of workers, analyze what the narrator represents, in this case the market that now a days its in our society. A market that has every type of person working but at the end will always take decision no matter how hard and cruel it could be. The money rules in the story, that everything that could be considered as a barrier for making more of it should be removed as quickly as possible. Seeing by both perspective, many of this attitudes is clearly because of the monotony that nowadays our society follows, to prefer to receive a wage rather than grows as a person. Even the most enthusiasm workers would get tired of seeing people that does not care about what is happening and will start following their example, making this a vicious cycle.
