Emotional Driving Drivers know the dangers of operating a motor vehicle while distracted or under the influence, but emotional factors are often overlooked. Most of human decisions are made by your emotional reactions, that is the purpose of emotions. Being stressed, fatigued or overly emotional can impair drivers drastically and reduce their safety on the road. A common emotion that is often exhibited by drivers is road rage. Emotions are so second nature to us, we overlook them and can allow them to consume us. Sometimes it better to take a minute to calm down by pulling over before continuing to your destination. Don’t get behind the wheel until you feel like you have your emotions are too strong. Drivers distracted by their emotions make bad judgment calls and respond slowly to dangers in the roadway.
