I feel as if parents should give their child the opportunity to choose whether or not they would have the desire to play football. As for me I would definitely let my daughter or son have the chance to play football. In Scott Fujita’s article “Would I Let My Son Play Football?”, he states “He’s right. It’s not for everyone. But it was definitely for me. And it is definitely for many more people, too.” (Fujita 5). He is explaining how it can be a good thing for other people and that they might start to love it if given a try at it. He has done many years of research and has found many findings about how these contact sports are harmful to everyone who participates in them. He gives valuable information that parents, and guardians should take into consideration before they let their child play football or any contact sports. As I write this paper I realize that all of these questions I was asked to answer all go back to the way I was raised. My anger with sports likely was cause by my dad longing for me to be great. Me homophily with all of the football players was a product of my parents making me do all of the sports. All in all I had a great upbringing and I wouldn’t change one thing.
