Most families are classified as working poor meaning that the head of household is employed but, they are unable to pay bills, afford healthcare, housing which causes them to slip into poverty. Nick Wills states in his article, "Almost half of Florida families classify as working poor, study says", that, " 3.3 million households across Florida can be labeled as working poor homes. That's 45 percent of the state population. Compare this to the 2.6 million working poor tallied in 2014 and the cause for concern becomes apparent". This is a cause of concern because people who work full time jobs, clocking 45 hours a week and probably overtime should never fall below the poverty lines.
