Recommended: Death in literature

Wit is a play about a woman who has pancreas cancer and is telling her life story while still in her hospital clothes. She gives details about her life as a teacher and a college student. So I can relate this to my life as a college student and wanting to teacher later on. This play made me think that everyone has freewill even in the worst time of your life. Throughout the play they have funny jokes. For example the one where the nurse asked how are you feeling, she feels worriable all the time but she always says fine. This play reminds me of a sad comedy where the main actor dies in the end. She also tells you in the begin that she will die in the end.

When I read the play, it felt real. I was reading interviews with real people, about real events. In the movie, Aaron relays the details with a hint of despair, in my head Aaron gave the same responses but with a more sinister tone. To me this had a greater effect than the movie.
