Rough draft Abraham Lincoln’s Assassination was wrong. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 14,1865. His killer was john Wilkes Booth. He was assassinated in Ford’s Theatre. Booth assassinated president because he was a confederate and hated that his side had lost the war. He took this as the perfect opportunity to make his move. President lincoln was to actually be kidnapped and held hostage. But there was too much protection with the president which made welks just assassinate the president. Abraham Lincoln’s death was unjustified. He ended the civil war,ended slavery and passed the homestead act but he also did things not everyone agreed with.

John Wilkes Booth was a famous actor, and could have had many assassination chances, including Lincoln’s second inauguration. Wanting the South to win the war, he never wanted the punishment of assassinating the president of the United States. Being a supporter of the Confederate, Booth believed that he assassinated Lincoln the momentum would spark the Confederate troops to life and lead them to victory. All Presidents have faced the challenge of keeping people united in times of conflict and turmoil; this specifically applied to Presidents Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy. They were faced with solving delicate situations involving segregation and the civil rights of American citizens in two different centuries. While there has been the enduring impression that both presidents held high ideals with regard to the African American population, a closer examination of history could lead one to believe that Lincoln was the false freer of the enslaved and Kennedy was the false figurehead for the Civil Rights movement.

Did President Kennedy deserve to be Assassinated? No but the reason being is because JFK did many important things during his term. Lee Harvey Oswald assassinated John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963 in Dallas Texas.
