Do you love your pet? Would you ever want to loose your pet? In today’s society many animals are neglected and abandoned. Most of the time the animals that are abandoned are hungry, beaten, and injured. Abandoned pets suffer in the streets years before they end up in an animal shelter. Animals deserve a loving home where you watch, care, and love them. People should go to jail if they abandon their pets since it is your responsibility to give your pet a loving home, and you should never leave your pet alone and not be watching them.

“One reason I think people should go to jail for abandoning their pets is because it's their responsibility to take care of them. I also believe if the owner wanted a pet they should be responsible enough to take care of them,” By: ZakBat. “It's sad when someone gets a pet and then they leave them home without caring for them. Even though your pet may be disobedient that doesn’t mean you have to abandon them because a lot of abandoned animals enter a shelter every year. Therefore, you should go to jail if you abandon your pet because if your pet can get out it is your fault for not making sure your house is secure and just because your pet makes your house a mess doesn’t mean you have to get rid of it, pets have hearts
