The 1970s had so many new fashions and fads, technology, events, and many amazing and influential people. Muhammad Ali was the greatest and famous boxer in the United States. In 1970, Ali was free to bow again after being convicted of evasion charges. And in 1974, he won back his champion title as a boxer. It was an important discovery because it allowed kids to be able to do their math and science homework easier. The first electronic calculator was invented in 1956. The calculator is still used today everywhere in the world. The 1970s was mainly known for its fashion- especially the bell-bottoms. Bell-bottoms are pants that flare at the calf. The public loved the bell-bottoms. Everyone started wearing them and it became very “trendy” during the decade. Bell-bottoms were for all the young adults in both of the genders. These pants are still worn today, but over the years they became less popular and it turned more into skinny jeans.
