Of these characters, the person who bears the most responsible is Lady Capulet because of her opinion on when and who Juliet should marry. She also helped the feud between the capulets and montagues, therefore causing romeo and juliet's love to be forbidden. For these reasons lady capulet is to blame for Romeo and juliet's death. Since they were aware their love was unforgettable, they decided to become a married couple and kept it a secret from their friends and family.
In my opinion Lady Capulet played a huge role in Juliet’s death but not the biggest. Lady Capulet was not a successful mother in any type of way. Her views of love were different than Juliet’s. She believed the parents should be able to pick who their child gets married to. Lady Capulet tries to make Juliet marry Paris at Saint Peter’s church early Thursday morning. When Juliet tries to talk to her mother about it. She tells her “Talk not to me , for I’ll not speak a word: Do as thou wilt, for I have done with thee.” meaning she’s

Capulet was far more direct a part of Juliet’s death than Tybalt was. Also a Capulet, he had fought with the Montagues on numerous occasions. He did not force Romeo to leave his party, but whether he was prepared to be friendly with the Montagues was another matter. Juliet believed that her father would never approve of her marriage to Rome, so she kept it a secret. As a result of being unaware that his daughter had already married, Capulet arranged Juliet’s marriage to Paris, Capulet assumed that she was crying in grief over Tybalt and would be heartened by getting married. When Juliet insisted she didn’t wish to marry Paris, he would hear none of it. He thought her ungrateful and disobedient, and he refused to change his plans. Juliet could see no way out except to fake her own death. Had Capulet been more understanding and flexible, Juliet’s fake death – and, later, her real one – could have been avoided.
The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet is not in the death of two young lovers, but the failure of society to overcome the social barriers that would have prevented the loss of so many innocent lives.
