When I was in elementary we had an assignment or project to do for the drug free week Every year I was the same topic which was “what do you want to be when you grow up?” well since I was in kinder the obvious answers were from princess, cop, or a super hero. But my mom gave me ideas when I brought the project to her attention she said doctor, firefighter, nurse, teacher, fashion designer and lawyer. I was fascinated with how many careers there were to choose so my mom explained them to me and I was amazed they sounded so fun. I wanted to be a princess but now I see that it’s not a career choice. I picked the closest thing to a princess which was a fashion designer, I thought I could design my own princess dress. Every year after that I choose the same career I became more and more informed on this career choice. As I headed to high school I started to implicate myself more with how I dressed myself. As I do believe that the way you dress expresses who you are. Drug free week became different in middle school and high school. we started dressing up as our career choice, it did fall on Halloween so it made sense. I was then admitted to the hospital for anemia and having doctors’ appointments daily for blood examinations 1 week before graduation I started finishing up all assignments I missed I stressed myself so much to get a phone call that I was pregnant and not anemic. I was in shock and sad how just how could this happen on my last week of school a few days away from graduation day? Well I accepted it and realized I need to do more for myself and for the child I was going to have in less than 7
