First of all, zoos should keep animals in captivity, because if they are running wild around the animal park, they could cause all kinds of catastrophes, and they also could injure or possibly attack a visitor or park keeper. If the wild animals are running around on the loose, instead of being held in captivity, then they could possibly get injured, or in the worst case scenario, get lost. They could climb into the other animal cages, and possibly get into a fight with the other animals. If the animals are all in separate cages, then it decreases the risk of them getting in to a fight with the other animals. Also, zoos should keep wild animals in captivity, so that the children can be taught about the value of animals so that they understand the importance of them being looked after during their visit. Although zoos make the animals feel like they are in a natural habitat, they do not provide the space that the wild does. Also, zoos are just like prisons, but for animals. They get humiliated by visitors, when they are shown to the public by the zoos. The animals do not get the right amount of nutrients and food, not like they do in their natural habitats. They get handled by park keepers, which isn’t very good for the animals, or the park keepers, because the animals are not used to being handled. The wild animals could injure the park keepers. If they do, they would be held in a very tight cage, with no freedom, or (in the worst case scenario) they could be put down, or even killed. Nobody should do that to nature, it is cruel. As well as this, after wild animals have been put in the zoo, and then released, they could not survive if they are released to the wild, as their ability to fight or hunt for food may have disappeared by the time they were
