Freedom of Religion May Not Exist Some people in the U.S. do not have the right to exercise their religion. While others are free to exercising their religion. People in the U.S. should be free to exercise their religion. Yet they are not allowed to exercise their religion without being judged. The importance of people not being able to exercise their religion “freely” is crucial, do to this being a “free” country. People should not be judged or harassed for something they believe in. The law is that they are allowed to exercise their religion as long as they are not forcing it upon others. Yet society fails to do just that. The U.S. is a place where people do not have the right to exercise their religion because of people’s opinions even though it is legal to believe in their own religion people fail to accept it. …show more content…

For example a bus driver leading kids into prayer on the school bus is not okay. A reason that the school bus driver should not be leading kids into prayer is because those kids may have different religions. The article states, “Sanaa Hersi, has a child that rides home on Nathan's bus. She was concerned because it is confusing her child due to it not being the islam way. The main concern is that it is illegal. . . The supreme court ruled that it is against the constitution for public schools to encourage or lead students into prayer” (Star Tribune 3). In other words, This proves that people cannot fully express their religion because some of the student’s on the bus have other religions that they believe in.
