Recommended: Imperialism in ww1

Before World War I there were reasons of why it started. Most people believe there is only one reason, but there are many as to why all these countries were fighting. There are three main reasons that will be explained as to why World War I began or took place. The three main reasons that are going to be explained are militarism, alliances, and imperialism. Alliances is one of the main causes because, at first it was just the Triple Alliance ( Which consisted of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and Italy) and the Triple Entente ( Which consisted of the United Kingdom, France and Russia). Germany was worried about one day having to fight a war on both sides(Document A), because they were right in the middle of Russia and France, so on any given day
