Personally, I, feel like this scenario was invertible. But let’s say that Archduke Franz Ferdinand wasn’t assassinated. What would have happened to the events that we know, like the rulers of Vienna which threaten Serbia? The whole inflexible diplomatic alliances between Germany, France, England and Russia was able to create chain reactions, I think could had different borders. Countries similar to Russia wouldn’t need to defend Serbia. Followed by Germany providing support in Austria’s defense. Then you also have countries like Britain and France to enforce treaties that were meant for Russia. I still believe that there would have been a great war due to the fact that civilization has been growing into this tension of rivalries. Rather, it is of different alliances with other countries, it would have looked differently through geographic and political opinions. If anything the Jews would be a thriving community. Obviously if it wasn’t for the Nazi’s the Jewish community would still have much more of their history to contributed. The Science experiments that the Nazi conducted during the holocaust wouldn’t have been saved and review years later (as harsh as it sounds it’s based on some medicines and knowledge of physical conditions). Albert Einstein wouldn’t need to write to FDR about how necessary it was to build a nuclear bomb or later seek refuge in America. The state of the art technology in which went into the H & A bomb would have placed NASA science further behind. We might have been barely landing onto the moon now instead of focusing on the first human mission to Mars. In conclusion, we needed the start of WWI and the end of WWII to further develop knowledge and science. It’s a little overwhelming to think of how true it is that we came so far over the assassination of the Archduke Franz
