Most famous actors and actresses are mentally healthy. For some, it is not that easy. Whoopi Goldberg, was one of those people,and she dealt with her disease, dyslexia. This disease has many details. There are also many mental symptoms. It is very hard to recall words or how to spell (Dyslexia 17). It is also mostly inherited (Dyslexia 10). After start knowing they have this disease, they will find it harder to read (Dyslexia 22). In some cases of dyslexia the people are often clumsy nor good at sports . Most dyslexics do not just have trouble with reading, they have trouble with other subjects such as math, and geography (Landau 27). First it affected her performances. One way is that when she had to learn her lines, everyone has to memorize their lines, but Whoopi has to take ten times longer to learn her lines for anything (Lobb 85).It also affected her writing by when she was writing her book it was hard for her to read what she was writing (Lobb 84). She was also many movies such as Toy Story 3, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, A Little Bit of Heaven, etc. She was also famous for the books she wrote. She wrote an autobiography about her life and her troubles (Lobb 87). Next she wrote a bunch of little books for children and teenagers (Lobb 85). What is Whoopi’s inspiration? One inspiration of hers is a family. Her daughter is a huge inspiration for her, moreover, she wants her to be proud of her (Lobb 84). She also needs to have food on the table for her family so she depends on her income (Lobb 85). Another inspiration is her disease. She wants to prove to the people that bullied her in school that she can do more with her life (Lobb 84). She also does this to show herself that she can do anything she puts her mind to, if she wants to write a book she is going to write a book if she wants to be in a movie she is going to be in a movie (Lobb 87).
