The play Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is about two people named Romeo and Juliet that fall in love and ends in a tragedy. Their parents are in a feud and so their love is forbidden. In the end they both end up dying trying to be together. One of Shakespeare’s major themes is that hate colors your perception of others and makes you treat them different. The Capulets that are Juliet’s parents are to blame. The reason is they let their anger for the Montagues make it so their daughter had to keep a secret that she was married to Romeo. Which eventually killed them.
One of the main reasons the Capulets are to blame is because there were many parts where Capulet and Lady Capulet were saying Juliet was ungrateful for not marrying Paris. Also after she said she wanted to kill herself and that is why Friar Lawrence gave her the potion. When it says “Get thee to church o’ thursday, or never after look, me in the face” (3.5,167-168) This first quote is Capulet saying to marry Paris or never look at him again. Romeo and Juliet are basically doomed from the beginning because of their parents feud. Even though they knew their parents were in a feud and hated each other they still went on with their love, because they both knew that their love was too strong. “My only love sprung from my only hate!”When Juliet says this the tone in her voice is surprised. What I think is going through her head at this moment is why this is happening and of all people she could have seen anyone but she saw Romeo. The reason she is so surprised is she was all fine when she didn’t know he was a Montague but once she found out she was upset. This shows that their feud affects everyone not just

The family feud causes them to keep their love a secret and therefore only Romeo, Juliet, Benvolio, the Nurse and Friar Lawrence know of their love. They let themselves do almost anything for the other and at times it seems like too much to do, even for the one they love. For example, Romeo falling out of love then back into love with Juliet changes the two families’ relationship into one unlike any other. While Tybalt seeing Romeo at the Capulet Ball creates a violent uproar leading to two deaths; as he has to hold in his anger because Capulet does not want his Ball ruined. Just as important is how when the two families’ hate starts getting stronger, Romeo and Juliet only become more and more inseparable and are willing to do whatever is necessary so they can be together forever.

In William Shakespeare's play, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, Friar Lawrence gives Juliet a fake poison and when she takes it, she goes into a deep sleep that makes her appear dead. Juliet is then buried in her family's tomb and when Romeo goes to the tomb, he drinks actual poison and kills himself because he cannot bear to be without Juliet.
In the story “ The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet “ the main characters get themselves in a pickle by falling in love knowing that their families are sworn enemies. Soon Romeo kills Juliet's cousin by accident, Juliet drinks a potion, some words get twisted and at the end both of the lovebirds end up dead. Friar Lawrence, Romeo and Juliet’s friend and confident, is a holy man who advised Romeo to “reside in Mantua until the news of their marriage can be spread”. Capulet, meanwhile, was planning his daughter’s wedding to Paris without her consent. Not willing to resign and marry Paris, Juliet sought her nurse for help, who sided with her father; she turned to Lady Capulet her mother, who would not give her aid either. She then decides to go to Friar, her confident, who tells her to fake accepting the wedding and gives her a poison to drink and temporarily seem dead, but wake up after. The day of her forced wedding with Paris, Juliet drank the poison and died instead of satisfying her father’s selfish wishes. Unfortunately, contrary to Friar Lawrence’s explanation, she never woke up. Romeo, saddened by Juliet’s death, also drank a poison killing, himself. Capulet’s behaviors demonstrate here how greed and hate can lead us to some evil things like making someone commit suicide. The feud between the Montagues and the Capulets causes the young couple to have to sneak around to one another. Broken family relationships in both families add stress since there are less people Romeo and Juliet can trust, and feel comfortable talking too. Miscommunication not only between Romeo and Juliet, but almost all the characters, affect the couple in a poor way because they are constantly being misinformed about one another. Romeo and Juliet may not like that they have been greatly impacted by all these factors but these actions are ultimately what shaped their lives, and affected how they lived them. This demonstrates how the influences around you can change the way you feel about certain things. If they had better family conditions, and ways to communicate, it is possible they could have lived their lives longer and
