Who Is To Blame In Romeo And Juliet

241 Words1 Page

In Romeo and Juliet, the popular play by William Shakespeare, many characters are to blame for the tragedy. However, Romeo is possibly the most to blame.

For example- during the beginning, when he and Juliet first met at the Capulet party. He could have not gone, and instead offered something else to Mercutio-maybe they could have thrown a party of their own. But, he went anyways, and flirted with Juliet- daughter of Lord and Lady Capulet. And, rather than making a rational decision at around the end of the play, like staying outside of Verona, he decided to head to the Capulet tomb. He killed himself and sort of killed Juliet too. Honestly, he’d been leading her on since the beginning.
