Snowball is considered to be the most intelligent animal of the farm, and also the hero of the Battle of Cowshed. After the death of the Old Major, and the success of Rebellion he is the best candidate and the prominent leader for the front in the “Animal Farm”. As long as he was living in the farm with other animals, Snowball took care of them. He wanted the best for the animals of the farm. Being smarter and more intelligent than the others he shared his knowledge with them. From all the pigs he seemed as the only one who embodies the revolutionary spirit of Animalism. He is considered as a hero of the farm, because when Mr. Jones sends his men to take back the farm, he makes a plan to distract them by sending pigeons, sheep and donkeys of the farm to lose their attention, men thinking that they won, are surprised by the attack of the horses, pigs and cows. He fights in the first line of the animals against the humans and is wounded but does not die. He is very brave when it comes to the peace of the farm, and is rewarded with a medal for his bravery. Even though he is the best leader to take the Old Major’s place, his rival Napoleon achieves to send him away from the farm. Napoleon is nothing like Snowball, he only cares about his own peace. When it comes to the building of the windmill, which is Snowball’s plan, he thinks that building a windmill will produce more food and the animals will have a better future, but Napoleon disagrees with him saying that it will cost them a lot. And when the plan comes to the point of being voted, Napoleon with the help of his nine dogs sends away Snowball from the farm, considering him a traitor in the front of animals. So Snowball becomes scapegoat for all the animals of the farm. Animals are surprised by the act of Snowball’s expelling, but there is Napoleon and his spokesman Squealer to convince them that they
