Lord of the flies The film Lord of the Flies is a film During WW2 in which a group of British kids were trying to escape the the war in England, but the plane crashed on an island and the kids Went through many challenges and incidents to survive. John Locke would agree with many of the events because ralph and the kids where civilized when there was no anarchy happening, also the kids got a say in what happened to them and what to do and no complete control was created when under the safety of ralph. state of nature is a conditions in which no government exist.(Williams). When the kids first got to the island the kids decided what to do together and not under the rules of somebody (Lord of the Flies). When Ralph blew the conch it meant there was going to be an assembly of something to do(Lord of the Flies). John Locke would agree as Ralph is a supervisor because he is civilized, and wants good for his boys. When ralph and the kids were on the island ralph kept the ideas coming and was listening to what everyone said. When Ralph held assemblies he listened to everyone even the little ones and got everyone's opinion so he did not have complete power over the group(Lord of the Flies). But in order to protect the natural right of the kids there needed to be a legitimate government(williams). There needed to be someone to protect the rights and that's what ralph did. Some may think John Locke believed in government and thought that the state of nature is bad to have. I do not agree because John Locke believes in legitimagovernment.
