I would change my books title “Silver The Final Exam is Survival” which was written by Chris Wooding. Even though I can see why the author chose the title and that is why I think he had the wrong reasons behind choosing it. When he had chosen the title he was looking more at the where the book took place and how the main characters were surviving. However, he should have been looking at book as a whole and how the book was taking place This is why I would change the title and make it fit in the guidelines of the books moral, the books main conflicts, and how the characters are effected by this. The reason why I think this is because only half of the title makes since and because the other half of the title has nothing to do with the book overall. This is why I would change the book title to, “Silver The Way to Survive.” The books moral has nothing to do with the title the author had made and that is the first reason why I would change the title. The theme of this novel is to look at the good you do in life and how it carries over after your death. The moral of the book is; "People can make changes in their lives whenever they really want to, even right up to the end."
The decision to have a graduation test or not met with a great deal of resistance. One of the largest problems was the parents’ perspective on the test. The parents didn’t want their kids to take the test because of the high risk of failure. Another problem group was the legislators.
The title is significant because the Iron Trial is something that defines the main character’s life in this book. Call has been dreading it since before he could remember, his father says that if he passes he will surely die. For the Trail is a test as to whether you have magical capabilities. Call’s mother died because of the school and his father tells him he will join her if he passes. So he takes the trial and is the first person ever to get negative points. However, his horrendous score attracts the attention of Master Rufus who decided to let him into the school. He is forced to go to the school that will surely kill him. Most of the book focuses on the Iron Trial and its aftermath. If I were to rename it, I would call it Chaos Devors.

Conflicts are the backbone of any novel, without conflict stories would not be nearly as interesting! Conflicts can be caused by many things, in this novel the main problem is racism. A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest Gaines is a novel based off of many internal conflicts between the characters, causing the characters to make different decisions and actions; this is important because the story is circled around racism causing many conflicts.
As stated earlier, many states require a student to pass a certain test in order to receive a diploma. This results in many capable students, who have finished all of their requirements, being denied their diplomas. Having informational texts has given me a better understanding of The Silver Star. As I read novels before I never thought about the information provided. I didn’t think it was important to know why a character acted a certain way. Or the new setting they’re in. Although having background informations from different texts has helped me gain a better perspective on the novel. While reading The Silver Star I understood topics like racism, depression, and abusive relationships with the help of variety informational texts.

Robert Frost poem, “nothing gold can stay” is a writing, underlining the lost in which we are confronted and the incertitude of the future. However, Sylvia Plath’s poem is pointing out more and more the unusual way she sees the world and her own life with the writing “Mirror”. With both of these poems, the reader go through the meaning of life according to both authors. Through disparate personification, imagery, and symbolism, Frost and Plath emphasize their poems themes of human vanity and the fear of aging.
Heroism can show itself in many shapes and forms from ordinary people to heroic and courageous people something to think about is that anyone can show heroism. A lot of people have shown heroism just by doing the right thing such as just helping someone or not acting mean towards others. heroism can show itself in many different forms but sadly some ordinary people don’t get recognized for the heroic acts that they do. Many different people just don’t recognize heroism from ordinary people as they just think of superheroes and supervillains. In reality anyone can achieve heroism as long as they strive for it. ‘Being Mortal’ was a fascinating read about a young man who grows in the understanding of death and dying and what matters most in the end. We all have constraints and no matter how well we take care of ourselves and live our life, death comes to us all; and how we meet that end can be very different depending on how we want to spend the last moments of our journey. Medical science has its power and pushes the boundaries of life and death, but it can’t always save you, it won’t always work out the way that you hope it does. Doctors like Atul Gawande struggle to fix everyone’s problem and cure the patients who come into the hospital; but as the book progresses Atul finds that there are ways to handle patients’ lives and it doesn’t always involve
In the first book, we can see that it is aptly named because we begin to learn about who the characters are and what they are about. The characters begin to “sow” or plant their identities, and we can now see the framework of the first book. In the second book, we can see that the characters are beginning to “reap” what sowed in the first book. They sowed seeds of unkindness, logic, fact, dishonesty, and discontent. For these, they reaped unhappiness, disillusionment and destruction, loneliness, and ostracism. Each character reaped a harvest of his own making. In the third book, we see the characters picking up the pieces of what is left of their lives. Mr. Gradgrind, after realizing the failure of his system, tries to help his children, and finally starts to act as a concerned father. At the same time we can see Bounderby, who was found out to be a fraud is left alone without his reputation. Each if the characters in the novel, sow, reap and garner what is left.

The characters must overcome these struggles and, “to accomplish the author’s purpose, they must overcome both external obstacles and the personal flaws suggested in the title of the book”(Reisman 2).
We’ve all had are moments when we wanted to be a hero, to wear a cape, and help others who felt they needed a helping hand. Being a hero can be so much more than saving someone from a life or death situation. In the ancient Greece modern time, a hero was a woman who was well-known and would obtain a status after a death of a lover. To the Greeks, the urgency of heroes was a mythical thing because it molded the future “heroes” (Kreyche p. 82). This dates to today’s heroes. Every mythical and non-mythical story has its heroes, especially the ones kids have created in books and movies. The definition of heroes has progressively changed throughout the years. Today, our heroes consist of a person having “great courage, especially for a noble purpose” (“heroism”). Throughout the years, heroism has been created to show one’s grateful purpose, their effects of being a hero, and what it took to keep the status of a “hero”.
