The Most Dangerous Game is a book by Richard Connell. It was created into a movie in 1932. In this essay we will compare and contrast the many similarities and differences between these two works of art. After we will decide which of these was done better. The Integrity of the story is affected by the many differences and similarities in the areas of the initiating event, characterization, and plot between the story and movie, The Most Dangerous Game.
The first things we will be comparing are the initiating events. In the book Rainsford was standing on a rail the he fell into the ocean and swam to the island. In the movie his yacht his the rocks that General Zaroff set up. Even though this doesn’t change the storyline it is a big difference. Also in the movie, the people who didn't get trapped inside the boat, got ate by sharks, besides Rainsford. In the book, Zaroff has white hair, but he has jet black in the movie. But, he has the scar on his face in the movie as well as the book. Ivan in the book has a beard down to his chest, and is very tall. In the movie, he seems to bit more average height with a shorter beard, but he is Deaf and unable to speak in both.
