Rather than saying wail or moan authors use lament to more properly describe a sound. To say the scene is perfect, is a nice sentence, but to say the scene is idyllic is prettier and more appealing. Lastly, if a package disgorges its contents, it is emit or discharging them, however a disgorged sounds better others tend to use this word
