In life people are asked to make decisions that could potentially affect them for the rest of their time on earth. Decisions affect every part of you mentally, emotionally, and physically. A major time in a life to make decisions is senior year of high school. Students not only have to worry about making the grades and keeping up with the extracurricular activities, they have to worry about college. College is a stressful topic for almost any senior in high school. The decisions the students make now could be life changing. This is possibly one of the hardest decisions a student has to decide during the adventure into college. The pathway they want to study needs to be available at the college they choose. Not all colleges have every subject of study a student may want. As an example using Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods and Ball State. A person wanting to study equine studies would be able to study at Saint-Mary-of-the-Woods and not Ball State because they do not offer an equine major. Students can also be undecided when going to college, but with that in mind the student needs to find a college that is right for them that offers an undecided exploratory course. Going undecided to college is common now because it offers the chance for a student to explore different courses and find out what they really have an interest in. Graduating from high school is a huge achievement. Senior year is when all the important decisions had to be made, including whether to attend college or not. The next major choice I had to make as a high school student was selecting a college to attend. There are a variety of factors that finfluenced the final decision. Some of these factors included financial aid, reputation , college experience and college size. Choosing acceptance to Case Western Reserve University was a better choice compared to The Ohio State University.
Even though choosing to go to college is something that takes a lot of thought, there’s still the idea of how to pay for it. Once a person graduates from high school they are left with a difficult decision, wither to go to college or not. Some families this is not an option, their kid will go no matter what, but many students do not want to go to school and have so much student debt by the time they finish that they will have to pay off that they decide that college is not worth it. It is a norm and expectation in society today for students to pursue higher education after graduating from high school. College tuition is on the rise, and a lot of students have difficulty paying for their tuitions. To pay for their tuitions, most students have to take out loans and at the end of four years, those students end up in debt.
