Ever since high school, I wanted to work in the field of pathology. I was intrigued with what the body can tell you. I always thought I wanted to be a pathologist. In my junior year of college, I was given the opportunity to intern at Montefiore Medical Center. Montefiore is Albert Einstein College of Medicine’s teaching hospital. I worked in the Surgical Pathology department with the Pathology Assistants. I was able to work closely with the PAs and see their specimens and learn from them. In the 8 weeks that I was at Montefiore, I was able to realize that I did not want to be a pathologist. I realized that I wanted to be a Pathology
