Normally when I wrote for this series I'm trying to convince people to the views that I have towards and artist or entertainer. I convinced people it's not offensive to call J Cole a bronze medal rapper, or that Chris Brown has been wasting his talents with ignorant acts. I tell you that tonight reality that a lot of people don't want to accept. With this article however, it's nothing for me to persuade you on. Today would've been the 46th birthday of one of the most polarizing figure in music history. With knowledge years ahead of his time, the "Thug Life" rapper was gunned down in Las Vegas at the age of 25. With receiving death at such a young age, what is the place for Tupac in rap history? Then when in situations where I need to be, I can be brutal, unapologetic, and stand up for myself. What young man doesn't love women, but don't respect "hoes"? We're talking about a man who wrote "Keep Your Head Up", then three songs later spit "I Get Around". Tupac is all of us as it is impossible to feel the exact same way about a topic every single time. Life has to be looked at through context, and every situation is different. We all want to see our black people prosper and be successful, but would you feel the same way if an individual did something to you? Over the years I've seen a number of Tupac documentaries, heard a number of his albums before and after death, and he died when I was only two years old. Tupac is a global icon that has non English speaking fans bursting into tears at the very sound of his music. Tupac may not be the greatest rhymed of all time, but he makes up for that in other categories. The charisma and passion in which he flows is arguably one of the greatest of all time. It's never been confirmed whether Pac slept with Faith Evans or not, but the opening of "Hit Em Up" is such a classic that we accept it as factual
