Transformational leadership can be termed as a leadership approach that causes and alteration in people and social systems. When transformational leadership is in it's implemented in its ideal form, it creates a valuable and positive change in the followers of the leader, and the end product is developing leaders from the followers. When transformational leadership is enacted ideally, it enhances the morale, motivation and performance of the team members through some mechanisms. According to Liden et al. (2015)some of the main intrinsic characteristics of transformational leaders are the basic motivational drivers that are behind the effective behaviors of their team members. This means that a transformational leader is influenced by integrity, honesty, self-confidence and personal values. In terms of the application of the transformational leadership, it is up to the leader to ensure that they connect their life experiences and transformational behaviors. This is as a result of their charismatic personality that normally influence the team members to become more like their transformational leaders. Through the following of a core set of values, ethical principles in the place of work and the willingness to take risks, the transformational leader is able to express their idealized influence. It should be comprehended that through the idealized influence concept that the leader builds among his team members, the transformational leader is in a position to develop the confidence that the employees require of them.
