1. Transcendentalism is a belief system focusing on life here and now. There are four common beliefs in transcendentalism- the believer is the center of the universe, the idea of self-knowledge, the symbolic state of nature, and self- realization is the way to happiness. Transcendentalism is not a religion since they do not believe in a God, afterlife, or consequences of the current life in the afterlife.
