In the city that is loved by many and where I call home is only three percent safer the three percent other cities. Kansas City Missouri in 2012 alone had over 105 murders, 246 rapes, 1,647 Robberies, 3,864 assaults, 6,964 Burglaries, 15,088 thefts, 3,590 auto thefts, and 262 cases of arson. No one truly knows how crime is committed. Its committed for several reasons rather its a crime of passion, heat of the moment, mental illness, drug induced, or for reasons such as being poor, having family issues or self-esteem issues. Crime happens.
There will never be a full answer as to why crime happens because it happens for many different reasons. I believe that there are many different reasons as to why someone would commit a crime. It is impossible to give a direct reason that pertains to why every crime was committed. Its not ever going to be realistic. Crime is going to be around forever because of the many different reasons that crime is committed.
