The Berlin Wall symbolized the internal conflict of way Germany should be ruled. The wall separated West Berlin and East Berlin. West Berlin believed that Germany should be democratic. On the other hand, East Berlin believed that Germany should be communist. The Fall of the Berlin Wall had a positive effect on the world. One of these effects is that it increased the stability between Germans. This time would have been an emotional time for Berlin. Many families that were separated by the wall were reunited with their loved ones after thirty years. One citizen from Berlin spray painted on the wall, "Only today, the war is really over." The Fall of the Berlin Wall also ended to feud between the two sides over how Germany should be controlled.
