Many don’t try to stay out of the norm of current society standards. People feel comfortable following the crowd because it's easier to agree with an idea or trend than to oppose it. Propaganda's use this specific trait to assist them in achieving their goal. By purposely targeting large groups, there becomes a heavier influence on others. This is why commercials state numbers and quantitative data. It is made in an attempt to persuade someone that their product is what everyone is using. The viewer would most likely think that if the majority of people prefer a specific brand, that he/she should try it as well due to the reasoning that the brand has to be good since many people say it’s good. Thus they don’t question the brand’s actual reliability because they only rely on what others think. For example, if you were in a store with your friend and your friend told you to buy a specific perfume brand because she states that it works really well and has long lasting periods of smell, of course you would buy it because of what your friend had told you about it. You didn’t research about the perfume or decide to look at any other perfumes because you believe that your friend is correct since she said stated the perfume was reliable. Propaganda is information that is biased to promote one point of view. Propaganda is mostly used during political campaigns. It is one of the most widely used and effective political tactics. It gives its user the opportunity to move people to action in both positive and negative ways, by either bringing fame or shame to a selected person or idea. Propaganda is used to sell a candidate or a belief to the public, by ruining the opponent’s chances of winning, or by falsely advertising an idea of their own as better than one of their opponents.
The base of all propaganda is to shape the information in such a manner that it manipulates the viewers into believing what the propaganda wants them to believe. Its persuasive techniques are regularly applied in day-to-day life by politicians, advertisers, journalists, and others who are interested in influencing human behavior. Since propaganda is used with misleading information, it can be concluded that it is not a fairly used tool in the society.
With regard to war, the purpose of propaganda is to make a particular group of people forget that another group is human. By focusing on a few, simple target ideas that reinforce the notion that another group of people are harmful and inhumane, propaganda is able to unite people in an unrealistic mindset. Understandably, however, governments have a priority to nurture the morale of its people and the armed forces that represent it by intimidating the enemy with the force of natural will. The saying “history repeats itself” is used quite often, but how many times have you actually seen it happen? The book Animal Farm portrays the idea of history repeating itself. The character Benjamin and the pigs in the story show history repeating itself throughout the book. In addition to these characters within the book, North Korea displays history's repetition outside the book.

There is a substantial amount of conflicts that occur in this satirical story. Often these conflicts are between the pigs and the rest of the animals. Only a minute portion of the animals didn’t really have some sort of conflict with Snowball, Napoleon, Squealer, or the rest of the dominating pigs. Overall, Snowball was a better leader than Napoleon, yet the animals reacted differently to Napoleon than to Snowball.
