The savanna is a grassland peppered with only a few different species of trees and shrubbery. Savanna biomes typically have only two distinctive seasons, very dry and very wet, which occur for the same amounts of time. There happens to be a staggering amount of difference between these two seasons. The biome itself stays at a warm temperature all of the time however. Animals found in the savanna are very interesting and have bizarre ways of making this biome their home. The climate of the savanna is always warm but varies greatly in moisture levels. Winter in this biome is very dry and only gets 4-5 inches of rain. Summer is an extremely wet season and can bring in 15 to 25 inches of rain. In the summer, torrential downpour can last for hours
