Fahrenheit 451 is a book that shows how technology is taking over society. In the book, books are burned because they are viewed as senseless. People sit around and stare blankly at their TVs all day thinking that they have so much to offer when they don’t even actually know who the person on the screen is. This is a large factor in the happiness of the society in Fahrenheit 451.
` The people in Fahrenheit 451 believe that they are perfectly content and happy. It is almost like they are brainwashed into thinking that the more technology available the more happy that they will be. In reality, all of the technology that is supposedly making them “happy” is keeping them away from the things that they should truly cherish and value in life. Having a real family that loves, supports, and can’t live without each other is big part of being truly happy. Family is always there when no one else is, through the good and the bad. Just knowing that is true happiness. Recognizing and appreciating nature and everything that the world has to offer also takes part in true happiness. There is so much going on, and the world is so complex. Just thinking about being apart of something so great is true happiness.
