The Red Door I was awoken by a thump, as if the whole world shattered. I heard my mom cry my name out “Alexis!” I rushed down stairs and out on the streets of Whitecoast. People congested the streets, mumbling words. I managed to make my way to the front, and I my eyes met what the buzz was about, a door. It was a red door in the middle of the street, rusted door handle and fine detail on the wood. Nobody knew where it came from but we all knew it isn’t a good thing. The door creaked open and a letter appeared. It was handed to me. Everybody beamed at me as if I was the only thing that mattered. I didn’t know what to do “Should I open it?” I thought to myself. Everybody was shouting at me, chanting “Open it, open it.” The pressure filled my body and then I was gone, I ran as fast as I could, my home just peeking out …show more content…

I finally reached it and I locked the door, breathing as if my lungs were screaming. My mom and dad were at the table, peering at me. They asked me to come over and to sit down. As I make my way there, someone smashes on the door. My parents direct me to the table and my mother whisper “We don’t have that much time but we must tell you that you are the only one here that can save us, save the world. This door is not good; it was made by your great, great grandfather and he is still in it. If he comes out, the world, things will happen. Goodbye, the only way we can see you again is if you go into that door. You’re the world’s only hope.” “Mom, Dad!” I yell, but they were gone. If was like everything was taken away from me, slowly and painfully. Ultimately I realize I had the letter. I ran upstairs into my attack bawling my eyes out. I
