In the speech “The purpose of education” by Martin Luther King Jr. was about how college students have to think about what successful things they want to be in their life.He wants to inspire them to be a better person the community and to society. MLK is also advising the college students to take advantage of their education that they are receiving because getting accepted into a college is hard for colleges to accept their incoming freshman, when they are applying to a community college or a four year university.Sometimes colleges don't accept them because of their grades, they dropped out of any advance placement classes, dropped out of honors classes, or never took any AP/Honors class throughout their junior high and high school experience. …show more content…

motivates students to be well educated and to study for all tests and quizzes to be able to have a passing grade in any particular subject.I strongly agree because students need to study because if students don’t study then they are mostly likely not able to receive a good grade on that specific subject.Students need to learn that school is very important because if they don't finish, then it will be difficult for them to find a job because the manager will think that the applier didn’t finish receiving his or her education.

MLK advises his peers to stay away from the wrong crowd.Once again, I agree because there might be students that want to cut class or that wants to get involved in a fight with other groups of students.Students need to choose which friends will be there and protector that will never be there to protect you.There are students that will pick on a person and their friends will back them up but also there are many students won’t back their colleague up and protect them instead they end up getting bullied.
