What number of you accepts that Racism still exists today? Provided that this is true, do you accept that racism happens in school? Does it happen in the work place? What about in our everyday lives? All answers for those questions in our opinion is yes, racism still exists nowadays in our everyday life, school, work, countries and even between the relationship between men and women. At the same time what is racism? This is an act of deliberately isolating individuals focused around societal position, color of skin, conventions, social conduct and even state of mind. Beyond any doubt you have been seeing news and stories about racism. This is one human attribute that appears to get greater and greater as the world gets smaller and smaller. You will meet prejudice when somebody is letting you know that you can't do something or in the event that you are continuously offended due to your physical traits or the nation where you originated from. Some people support racial isolation, discrimination and bias is simply words and that free speech should permit such perspectives to be circulated without restriction. While others debate that these words can cause some awful and serious disadvantages (the Nazi government policies). We do agree with the authors who say that neither discrimination nor bias can cause so many conflicts. Racism is alive because explicit, implicit, and structural racism are still prevalent in the United States.

Likewise, some youngsters especially boys need to be tough and strong to prove that they are strong as superman for instance. These displays are guiding our kids that it’s wrong to act naturally. The media is confusing kids before they are grownups enough to even think for themselves. Teenagers can also often be caught in the sticky web of the media. We as teenagers can similarly regularly be gotten in the sticky net of the media. Teenagers are always demonstrated pictures of how they ought to look or how to act in the event that they need to be fit it, especially for teen girls, if they are in a wedding for example they should act in a certain way, why not to act normally as your own personality?.
It would be ignorant to say racism does not exist till today. There is almost a complete 100 year difference between the reconstruction period and the Civil Rights Movement for equal rights to the Black society. While slavery took time to vanish in the south in those hundreds of years, segregation was pushed harshly, laws we 're enacted to prevent Blacks from having certain privileges that whites had. Segregation almost seemed to kick the Blacks out of the society we live together in. The Jim Crow laws had made efficient work in separating the Blacks from the Whites in society, and it took the Civil Rights movement in 1964 to finally bring more equality to the African-American society. However, the Ku Klux Klan and still other organizations had existed and continue to exist despite efforts to bring equality. There is a strong social equality for the Black population in America today, but because of hate organizations and discrimination still existing today, black lives are being lost through murder, and even in forms of police brutality. Take for example the L.A riots in 1992 from the beating of Rodney King, or going back to 1967 the Detroit riots which tore apart these cities. Today Black Lives Matter movements exist to crush out racism in society so people no longer have to live in fear, and it is an existing movement that I think will actually fade as generations in the future work to build up society, and racism will become a thing of a past. There is however, always going to be something that causes prejudices and hate in society if not directed to one group of people. Racism exists all around the world and is a big part of our society today. From schools, to work places, to even restaurants, racism is there because we, ourselves have constructed it but, not everyone can see it through their own eyes because we were all born with different perceptions. In Racism Without Racists by Eduardo Bonilla-Silva, racism is described in a variety of different ways whether it is due to biological factors or simply by saying that racism does not exist and people just need to work harder. Bonilla-Silva has experienced discrimination himself and he wrote this book to show that even though it is not extremely visible like before, such as segregation, it is subtler but still plays just as big of a role in our society as before.

The range of ideas attempt to engage the readers about the reality of their issues. The reality about a world where prejudice and racism still prevail in modern times. But when will prejudice and racism ever cease to exist? And if they were ever to cease from existence, what does that mean about humankind?
When we as people watch the news or read our newspapers, we can see that most of the criminals committing crimes are of African American or Hispanic descent. Being a fan of true crime novels, they even depict more Black male criminals than White males. Are African American males committing more crimes than White males? What factors are involved for Blacks to be more involved in crime? How do African American stereotypes play a role with possible racial profiling from the policing force? Are Blacks treated fairly in the criminal justice system? After much research, I hope to answer these questions and determine if African Americans are the race that is really committing the most crime than Whites, and if racism inside the justice system plays a bigger role than we think.
Racism can take on many forms that plague the brain with irrationality that affects an individual’s thoughts and actions. Racism can be a physical form, through an external action, or can branch off into unethical thoughts. This is more known to be a discriminative thought, judging a person based on impressions. This social problem can also be ignored by the oblivious persons of the crowd. Many individuals speak out about how racial tension is long gone and forever forgotten ever since the first African-American was elected to be president in 2008, but this can be evidently proven false. Racial tension is still here to target the minorities in the forms of affirmative action and Ferguson conflicts.

For example, there is still unjust crimes toward African Americans, which have sparked the Black Lives Matter movement. Although racism is slowly diminishing, there is still much work to be done to completely end racism.
Our media continues to flood the marketplace with advertisements portraying our young teens much older than their age. Woman’s body images have been the focus of advertising for generations. However, now the focus is more directed to the younger teenage girls instead of woman. Young girls are often displayed provocatively while eating messy triple decker hamburgers, or sipping a diet sodas on an oversized motorcycles. As a result, young teens are dressing older than their age, trying to compete with this ideal media image. By allowing younger girls and teens to be portrayed as grown woman in advertisements, our teens are losing their young innocence. With society’s increasing tolerance, this epidemic will continue to exploit our young daughters, sisters and friends. Young teens feel an enormous amount of pressure to obtain the ‘ideal’ perfect body. Trying to emulate the advertisements seen in the media and magazines. As a result, more girls and woman are developing eating disorders. Media can no longer dictate how our young teenage girls should look.

Racism is still present in many societies, although many people are doing their best to put an end to racism and its somewhat tragic ordeals.
