Something that bothers me about the prosecution’s case is that they try to paint Adnan as a bad person because he kept secrets from his family, a major one being his relationship with Hae. But most teenagers have secrets and indulge in something their parents wouldn’t approve of, Adnan is no different. So I don’t think this is a fair allegation. Furthermore, there are two major assumptions the prosecution makes that are unsupported. Both regarding the cell phone records of January 13th. One is that the 2:36 pm call from Adnan’s phone, which the prosecutors say is the “come get me, I’m at Best Buy” call, has no testimony to back it up. Based on information provided by Sarah Koenig’s podcast, Serial, Hae Min Lee is killed by Adnan Syed, he yet says he didn’t murder her. Adnan is convicted of committing homicide, which he didn’t do, should not be in jail. This is for 3 main accounts; if something important happens a person remembers that day, Jay knew where Hae’s car was, and by how Sarah and her friend go by the day Jay described.
Can you imagine being convicted of first degree murder at only 17 years of age? Adnan Syed couldn't believe it either. In fact he was mortified when they charged him of brutally suffocating, his ex-girlfriend Hea Min Lee, to death. Adnan Syed was a pawn that the Baltimore detectives played with, a mere dupe to cast off as the true killer. Syed is like many Americans, he was never granted a fair trial. There is some actors that make Syed guilty, but perhaps it was just pure coincidence that got Adan wrapped up in this whole mess. When Rabia begins speaking of Adnan the sentence she leads with is that “He was like the community’s golden child”. By using this phrase, Rabia is connoting that he was considered perfect, which is a very bold statement to claim. After she elaborates upon her description Koenig later fact checks her “accolades” as any reporter would. She finds that Rabia “was mostly right, though she sometimes gets a little loosey-goosey with the details”. Rabia would have successfully convinced Koenig, as well as the listeners at hand, of Adnan’s reputation by simply describing him as a ‘boy with potential’ or as one ‘generally known to be respectable’ but by choosing to pronounce him a “golden child” specifically, she identifies him as impeccable, and thus incapable of committing a crime. Rabia personally knows that her descriptions are not entirely true, being that she was close with him, however, she still chooses to make use of them despite their inconsistencies. Not only does she go forth with them, but she chooses to falsely summarize him as a “golden child”, despite knowing that he was not in fact perfect. Teachers, friends, classmates, relatives and parents could not believe he kills his girlfriend. The reality sometimes is very hard to face especially when feelings are involved. Parents never will accept that their own child who was raised with comfort, love and support could be capable of murder somebody. Disturbing people could be disguised very well under a charming appearance. Many serial killers were known as decent, brilliant and admired persons. When a teenager is carrying a burden as Adnan was, probably feeling guilty for giving back to his parents, his religion and customs could transform him in another person for a few moments when he felt betrayed, humiliated, dishonored and abandoned by the person for whom he did all this. Then he kill Hae Min Lee in a rage 's attack or probably as Jay said Adnan was planning the murder in detail; that is why the police could not found enough evidences to probe him clearly
This reason makes sense because Asia and even a friend of hers claim that they saw and even spoke to Adnan that day and at that time Hae was murdered. This part of the story is when Asia found out Adna was arrested so she wrote him a letter explaining what she remembered about seeing him that day and time. This is from the letter “Im not sure if you remember talking to me in the library january 13’th,but I remember”. This means Adnan is innocent because he was not murdering Hae at the time he was at the library. Therefore Adnan is innocent because Asia’s letters prove that he was at the library at the time Hae was
Family’s usually tend to force their kids in to the religion they follow and expect them to make no sin which leads to the hide and seek game between the parents and the kids. Adnan’s family were Muslims that migrated from pashuar, Pakistan. Where the smallest thing as a man and women that are not related cannot be having a conversation what so ever. Dating was not acceptable, it’s either marriage or single. Adnan was not allowed to date or have girl friends or be a normal American teenage but he did it anyways without his parent’s knowledge. The prosecutor at the time claimed that Adnan’s motive to strangle Hae is that he gave up his religion, put himself in a river of sin and dissed his parent’s by dating a girl but when Hae called it off he was left with nothing. He killed her out of not love but pride. Even though this is an understandable point, Adnan was never really a strict Muslim. He goes out clubbing, drink alcohol, have sex with different girls…pretty much everything a Muslim person should not be doing. Him dating Hae didn’t make him anymore sin that he usually make in a daily basis. He never felt like hae have taken him out of his religion road because he was never in one. He didn’t have a motive to kill Hae because they both moved on in to other people but kept a good friendship between them so all of a sudden he couldn’t have felt betrayed enough to kill her. The reasonable question here is why did Adnan tell the police officer in the first interview that he was expecting a ride from hae that day and later when interviewed again denied asking hae a ride because he have his own car and don’t have a reason to ask her for a ride knowing that she always picks up her little cousin from school right when she gets out of school. Why would he lie about that, and did he really ask her for a ride as Jay and some of Hae’s friends claimed or he did not. Even though this
Near the end of the episode, a girl is introduced who claims to clearly remember the day that Hae disappeared. Asia McClain believes that she saw and talked to Adnan in the library the day Hae went missing. She wrote two letters to Adnan and then an affidavit, but she was never contacted by a lawyer. When the case was petitioned, the judge ruled that Asia’s story is legally worthless as an alibi for Adnan because it contradicts his testimony.
First off, Adnan had always felt a little guilty for dating her because she wasn’t Muslim like him. It didn’t really look good in their religion when people did things like that. Plus, if his parents found out, he would be in A LOT of trouble because he was not supposed to be dating anyone in the first place. But his parents did end up finding out in a pretty bad way, at least that’s what I think. They found out because while Adnan and Hae were at a school dance, one of the parents called his parents and asked about Hae.
For instance, the defense has denied to present you with the crucial evidence that would prove her innocence: an alibi. Justine was totally unaccounted for on the night of William’s murder, giving her ample time to commit the atrocity of causing his death. The defense has never presented you with anything that could account for her presence at some other location than the crime scene.
2. Is there a way to gather proof? Yes, that could be by seen the cell phone historical not just letting go of someone’s words because is a serious matter.
In existential thought it is often questioned who decides what is right and what is wrong. Our everyday beliefs based on the assumption that not everything we are told may be true. This questioning has given light to the subjective perspective. This means that there is a lack of a singular view that is entirely devoid of predetermined values. These predetermined values are instilled upon society by various sources such as family to the media. On a societal level this has given rise to the philosophy of social hype. The idea of hype lies in society as the valuation of something purely off someone or some group of people valuing it. Hype has become one of the main driving forces behind what society considers to be good art and how successful artists can become while being the main component that leads to a wide spread belief, followed by its integration into subjective views. Its presence in the art world propagates trends, fads, and limits what we find to be good art. Our subjective outlook on art is powered by society’s feedback upon itself. The art world, high and low, is exploited by this social construction. Even when objective critique is the goal subjective remnants can still seep through and influence an opinion. Subjective thought in the art world has been self perpetuated through regulated museums, idolization of the author, and general social construction because of hype.
The first evidence is the judge and jury ignored the physical evidence that both men weren’t in area when the crime happen, and their guns were not the same caliber there were a .38 while the gun reported was a .32. The police also had fingerprints from the buick the was used in the South Braintree crime. But the fingerprints didn’t match and the police instead questioned them on their religion, political beliefs and associates instead of the crime. The prosecutors used witness but the witness accounts made no sense. Meaning it didn’t match the descriptions of the men and the their stories weren’t the same and had loops hole. One witness said she saw the shooting from 60 feet away and said one of the men which she said was Sacco had big hands but he had small hands. Another said they saw Sacco kill Berardelli (one of the men who was killed in South Braintree), but the defense question and she said she hidden under workbench when the shots fired and didn’t see the men. The third witness said she talked to a man under a car fixing it as Sacco but her companion said she didn’t talk or saw him. Instead it was a pale sick young man. The day of the crime Sacco was getting a passport. A official confirmed Sacco was their getting a passport but the picture he had was too big. Other witnesses said they saw Vanzetti selling fish in Boston and some even bought some. The last piece of evidence is that the prosecutors tried to convicted them using consciousness of guilt. It is when you are guilty of a crime because you are lying about your actions because you are guilty. They lied and said they didn’t know Mike Boda. They did this because they wanted a car to transport their anarchist pamphlets to a safe place. They wanted to do this because the police could arrest anyone with these pamphlets and the people would be

This was something that honestly suited Adnan’s defense more than Jay’s. Remember when I said “He didn’t seem like some sort of assasinator?” Well, he really wasn’t. Why would he kill Hae anyway? Hae and Adnan had dated for about two years, but during the end, it’s like most high school relationships. Someone in the group, or both members, eventually lost interest and break up, which in this case, Hae was the one who broke up. She fell in love with another person, named Don. When they had a break up, Adnan was emotional, and upset. Now, that would make sense, but that was two months before Hae’s death. Why would Adnan kill Hae 2 months after they broke up? I mean, he was described as a player, and sometimes he’d cheat on her. Even after they broke up, many friends his said Adnan eventually got over it.
"A picture can paint a thousand words." I found the one picture in my mind that does paint a thousand words and more. It was a couple of weeks ago when I saw this picture in the writing center; the writing center is part of State College. The beautiful colors caught my eye. I was so enchanted by the painting, I lost the group I was with. When I heard about the observation essay, where we have to write about a person or thing in the city that catches your eye. I knew right away that I wanted to write about the painting. I don’t know why, but I felt that the painting was describing the way I felt at that moment.
