Sticky a character from “The Mysterious Benedict Society” can be smart, non-forgetful, nervous, cool, and friendly person. He is gifted and important person to the crew. He might not seem the best because he gets really nervous at some times but in the end he faces those fears.
Since Sticky is smart and non-forgetful you might be wondering how. Sticky can remember anything he reads, which means that if he read this he can rewrite it without even looking at it again. This is proven in the chapter Tactical Cactiupi. He reads a journal from afar and then writes on a piece of paper in the middle of the night. Sticky quotes what a letter is in morse code and he says “dot, dot, dash”. He also says “I thought my parents only wanted me because of me knowing a lot”.

A bit later Sticky says that he “polishes his glasses when he gets nervous” which is a problem for him but he still overcomes this with the help of Rynie. When Sticky gets nervous it is easy for him to show it because he does it all the time so it gets a bit odd. It would have been bad if Mr. Curtain realized because he could have then used it to find out what they are up to.
Sticky is a friendly person since he isn’t mean at any point in the book ( unless the messages are going off, then he might get angry.) and he does not hate any of his friends. Sticky does not really say this but he definitely shows it when he needs to fight the whisperer. Sticky fought because he wanted to help out Rynie do what they needed to do. Sticky helps out his friends in more way than one and it would be bad if Sticky had not been with
The Other Wes Moore is a novel that shows the different paths of two different men, one successful and the other not so fortunate. We discovered their different identities and how their choices and role models effect their lives. Wes 1 was led by his brave, hard working mother and the great military men. He didn't make incredibly great decisions but the people in his life helped him turn into the successful man he is today.However, Wes 2 had a brother who dealt drugs. The novel guides you through the 8 crazy years that led to Wes Moore 1's success and Wes Moore 2's life sentence for prison.

The terrible Old Man expresses more on the darkness within people’s hearts and how corrupt they can become. H. P. Lovecraft writes horror stories to display the darkness is people’s hearts, how easy it is to become corrupt, and the results of fear.
On the way there, he meets a man who lives by his temptations. Foolishly, Elmer agrees to a rendezvous with the man and his friends from the Pequot Farm Implement Company. Elmer is unsuccessful in his attempt to hold off the enticement of alcohol during this tryst and is worse for the encounter. Elmer fails to show up for the Easter service and is replaced with another preacher who is assigned to find Elmer’s whereabouts. Upon finding Elmer drunk at a café telling of his exploits, the pastor reports back to Dean Trosper. Elmer is subsequently fired from Mizpah and is taken on by the Pequot Farm Implement Company.

When the author says, “and he shook her; and her body flopped like a fish,” it shows that he has a lack of judgement. If he had good judgement then he would’ve not touched Curley’s wife in the first place. The quote also reveals that Lennie takes action before thinking, this then affects all his relationships. Next, in the middle of the book, Slim asks George why they moved from Weed to Soledad. He responds by explaining that Lennie was petting a woman’s dress and wouldn’t let go. George explains, “‘He was so scairt he couldn’t let go of that dress. And he’s so God damn strong, you know.’ Slim’s eyes were level and unwinking. He nodded very slowly. ‘So what happens?’ George carefully built his line of solitaire cards. ‘Well, that girl rabbits in an’ tells the law she been raped. The guys in Weed start a party out to lynch Lennie” (92). Throughout the book, Lennie shows no change of learning what he shouldn’t or shouldn’t do, making him a static character. Soon, we get introduced to Slim, who announces that his dog just had puppies. He talks with Carlson about killing Candy’s old and frail dog and replacing it with one of the newborn puppies. Lennie is then trying to convince George to ask Slim if he can have a puppy. Afterwards, George talks with Slim about his relationship with Lennie. He says that Lennie isn’t smart, but is friendly.

Piggy was the one boy in the novel who has all the knowledge. Despite his asthma and obese problem, Piggy never failed to contribute his cerebral and intelligent ideas. He came up with all the ideas on how to survive and tried to keep the group organized and civilized. The glasses of Piggy symbolized his knowledge and smartness.
Golding uses detail to show Ralph’s change from a civil leader to a mindless savage. When Ralph sits and pokes holes in the sand, he is “surprised” to see blood. He examines his nail and is interested, not concerned, about the blood. He originally was disgusted at the site of blood. This act shows his savage-like fascination with blood. Piggy’s development is also dependent on Golding’s use of detail. Within this passage, Piggy wipes off his glasses twice. There is a sense of paranoia and urgency in this act. Piggy wishes to disconnect from reality and does not want to admit to himself or Ralph their desperate situation. Piggy was originally the voice of reason in the novel. This simple act, however, shows he is changing into an unadmitting fool because he chooses not to see reality due to fear.
