After examining “The Most Dangerous Game,” and “The Interlopers,” it is apparent that adding a death scene into a story helps to convey the story’s whole meaning.
General Zaroff in “The Most Dangerous Game’s” death, leaves the readers gaping because of his initial cockiness, duplicity, and the fact that he has never lost before. When the General introduces his game of hunting humans, he acts very arrogant because of his adroit hunting talent. He explains to Rainsford, “To date I have not lost… I don’t want you to think me a braggart, Mr. Rainsford” (12).
