Fast food is gradually growing into a staple among people, as it is a cheap, convenient alternative to home-made food. These factors added to the alluring smell and fancy advertisements, people can easily fall prey to the appeal of fast food (Joseph, Nelliyanil, Rai, Babu, Kotian, Ghosh, Singh, 2015). Based on the 8th National Nutrition Survey, the prevalence of overweight among children up to five years old has significantly risen from one percent in 1989 to five percent in 2013.As well, the prevalence of overweight children aged 5-10 has increased from 5.8 percent in 2003 to 9.1 percent in 2013 (Crisostomo, 2015). Some sources indicate that the popularity of fast food has become a problem. With so many people eating fast food every day, health problems with regards to fast food are becoming common. The calories and fats contain in fast food are more than the needs of an average human body. Fast foods contain excessively high fats and sugars that can alter how the body perceives the food. This theory was developed by Martin Fishbein and Icek Ajzen. The improvement made from the first theory is the focus on behavior intention and the focus regarding attitude and norms (Fishbein & Ajzen, 1975). This theory is usually used in studying the usage of a specific product or evaluating certain services, like banking services, computer services, food choices, fast food restaurant choice. (Ibrahim & Vignali, 2005)It gives importance to predict behavioral intention by an understanding between stopping an attitude prediction and actually predicting behavior, but it is also aware of the limited influence of attitude towards behavior.
