We all love going to the zoo or to the circus watching the animals run around doing tricks. But has what happens behind the scenes to animals ever really crossed your mind? Imagine being stuck in a cage, or traveling in a train cart for most of the year, what would that feel like? Did you ever think that the animal aren’t happy where they live after being captured and ripped away from their natural habitats, the place they call home? Animals should never be in captivity, where they’re not naturally supposed to grow up. They are being imprisoned, and for what, entertainment? How will it thrive in a place that’s man made for them or in a place where they're forced to perform at the circus?

Most people believe that keeping animals in captivity is protecting them from being endangered, but are the animals safe from their insanity? “54% of elephants show behavior problems during the day time”, other animals like tigers start to show strange behaviors also`. People say that the animals in captivity have just what they need but in truth, they don’t. The typical zoo enclosure for an animal is one millionth of their home range or habitat. In an animal's home range they can feed on whatever or whomever they like. In captivity they don’t have the chance to do that, they are put on feeding schedules.
