Animal testing is known as vivisection and in vivo. In Europe, there are approximately 12.1 million animal testing experiments were conducted annually (Murnaghan, 2010). Animal testing has been practiced across the history of medical research and one of the famous researcher was Galen, ‘Father of Vivisection’. In recent years, a lot of animal rights groups and animal protections were published that cause the practice of using animals for biomedical research has come under severe criticism (Hajar, 2011). To illustrate, Chinese activists protested against dog meat festival in southern town of Yulun even though dog meat is a traditional dish in some area of China (Rajagopalan, 2015). By the way, animals can get rid of illnesses and definitely the rate of mortality will be drop. Animal testing has developed antibiotics and anti-parasitic to treat animals (Murnaghan, 2010). Those are the good medical in preventing the spreading of diseases among the livestock that might cause loss for farmers. In addition, animal testing is helpful in animal surgery too. For the reason that, the experiences and knowledges that obtained from the use of animal models in animal testing that make the animal surgery easily to be conducted. As a result, less time is consuming to carry out an emergency surgery for animal. Besides, veterinarians also get to know from animal testing that ways to reduce pains during the veterinary procedures. Though some people are not supporting animal testing due to the suffering of unwanted pains for animal models because they think it is cruel and inhumane acts. In fact, some are against animal testing because it providing unreliable result and also certified that animals do have cognitive thought. But for researchers, animals are lower class in animal kingdom compared to humans and lack of cognition thought. Despite, some animals can speak by using simple English but they cannot expressed their feeling and thought through words. Humans have developed language, which enables them to cooperate with each other, whereas apes do not tend to work together unless there is an immediate benefit for the self (Gaertner, 2011).
